Ready to Go!

Tonight is 1 month to go. Everything has been booked and our Brazilian visas have arrived back - safely with our passports. Looking forward to the trip - especially to the Antarctic coast. Only wish we could go ashore but life is full of little disappointments - so they say! Nevertheless, we will get to see a part of the world we have never been to and may not get the chance to do as we get older.

The preliminaries

Tonight we are 2 months out from departing on our combined cruise/tour through South America and the US west coast. Finding the onerous visa requirements for Brazil just a little perplexing. Seems like Brazil just isn't sure if they want visitors! The list of documents and requirements to get a tourist visa is just crazy. Never mind - we are looking forward to the trip.
